“What do you want me to do for you? Jesus asked”
Mark.10:51
Who do you go to with all that concerns you? A good friend asks you; How are you, really, and you tell. But how often do you tell God how you feel? I like doing things myself and not get help from others. I try to solve the problems of my own in my own way. I have discovered that it is only when I seek God that I get peace.
But, is it not when you cannot do things by yourself you can seek God? No, He wants you through joy and sorrow.
Who do you search? We all have the joys, sorrows, fears and concerns. God cares about how you feel. And he asks in Mark.10:51; “What do you want me to do for you?” When do you actually take advantage of having a God who asks you that question? Have you ever been so lucky having a friend ask you that?
“What can I do for you?”
That is a question of care. Do you ask this question to your friends? Or, maybe someone you have never met?
You are created for a fellowship with God and you are his beloved child. It was God who first searched for you. He gave his only son so he could be forever with you. You do not need a special reason to seek God. To seek God may be to just be quiet and BE in his presence.
“When you seek me, you shall find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, say the Lord.”
Jer.29:12-13
Today I have a challenge for you. Find some time alone with God and seek him. Be quiet. Listen. Read his word.
“What can I do for you?
“Of all the things
you take care of the most,
take care of your heart,
for from it flow
for from it flow
the springs of life.”
Proverbs 4:23
